Literature notes: SiC and marble

SiC and marble represent two very different material cases: an advanced hard brittle ceramic and a natural stone material. Both show why parameter testing matters.

SiC notes

The SiC literature focuses on sawing force and reports that, in the tested setup, force decreased with higher wire speed and increased with higher feed rate.

This supports a process view where material removal per wire length and specific energy help explain cutting behavior.

Marble notes

The marble literature uses orthogonal testing and reports feed rate as the strongest factor affecting roughness within the experiment.

This reminds users that softer or less brittle materials still need controlled parameters for surface quality.
