A joint can be strong in a straight pull test but still unsuitable if it disturbs motion over small guide wheels.
Optimization approach
One published research theme uses capacitor discharge percussion welding and analyzes parameters such as capacitance, voltage, and heat treatment. The goal is to maximize fracture load while keeping the joint suitable for loop operation.
For users, this means joint quality should not be judged visually only. It should be connected to actual machine speed, wheel size, tension, and material resistance.
